* Did it strike you as bizarre that Earvin "Magic" Johnson, a basketball superstar who professes to have had sexual relations with more than a thousand women, was lauded by President Bush as a "hero" and named to the President's Advisory Council on AIDS? As you probably know, Johnson has AIDS, which should be no surprise with his lifestyle.

* Don't you believe that the concept of separation of church and state has gone too far when gay and lesbian student groups are allowed to meet in public schools, but Christian youth groups are not allowed to do so?

* No scripture in the NT teaches that saints must observe the Lord's Supper each first day of the week and only on the first day! Jesus and His disciples had the Lord's Supper on Thursday evening before His betrayal by Judas. Isn't that an acceptable time? How often must we partake of the Lord's Supper? Saints have the right and liberty to observe the Lord's Supper on any day they desire and as often as they desire to do so.

No one can prove that when Paul and the other disciples met on the first day of the week in Troas, that the expression "to break bread" means that they were observing the Lord's Supper. It is an assumption at best. They were likely eating a common meal as verse eleven indicates.

Jesus made no law as to when or how often the saints may observe the Lord's Supper.

* SHAMEFUL AND SINFUL: According to the editor of Christian News, an excellent and widely distributed religious paper, various surveys have shown that thousands of Roman Catholic priests are homosexuals. "Unrepentant homosexuals are going to hell (1 Cor. 6:9-10)" as the editor put it. He is fully in harmony with God's judgment of those who practice such. Christians should boldly express condemnation of the ungodly practice.

* It appears that President Clinton is going to support the homosexuals and lesbians in their ungodly lifestyle, even in the military. Thank God for those in the military and in Congress who are opposing his policy. Americans do not yet know what we really have in the President and his wife in so far as such matters are concerned.
