* ENEMIES OF VIRTUE. In a letter to Beverly LaHaye, Alana Myers writes of her concerns about Planned Parenthood. She wrote, "Last year, in our ninth grade Biology class of fifteen and sixteen year olds, Planned Parenthood had two consecutive days to discuss 'reproduction.' They...brought to class a plastic model of a vagina...used to show the students SEVERAL TIMES how to insert contraceptive sponges." They then gave a detailed, explicit explanation of how a girl can tell whether or not she is ovulating by her mucous discharge. "During that time (while ovulating), you will want to use a condom, contraceptive sponge, or other method of birth control." Condoms were passed around (as well as other contraceptives), and the Planned Parenthood "counselor" suggested that PP could sell them cheaper than a store or pharmacy, in strict confidentiality, especially as far as mom and dad are concerned. The Myers letter tells about "valentines" PP GIVES to kids. She obtained one herself--"to show what our tax dollars are paying for." "The valentine has a big red heart on the front and says: 'love carefully.' On the inside is a red condom." The PP receptionist said these are very popular with the kids because "it's such a cute thing to give their boyfriend or girlfriend." -- The Witness
