There were two tax collectors.
One tax collector was sitting in his booth. Jesus called him and said, "Follow me." The man immediately left his job and everything else. He became a disciple.
The other tax collector had Jesus in his home as his dinner guest. He announced that he would give half his possessions to the poor and would reimburse anyone he had cheated four hundred percent. He did not leave his job.
Of the second man, Jesus said, "Today salvation has come to this house, for this man, too, is a son of Abraham."
Let us not call anything impure that God has made clean.
